城大的传媒专业有两大部分。
一是划归在人文社会科学学院（College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences）媒体与交流系（Department of Media and Communication）的两个专业：Master of Arts in Communication and New Media传播与新媒体文学硕士，Master of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication 整合营销传播文学硕士。这俩专业综合性较强，有商科的内容，就业范围广。 二是划归在创意媒体学院（School of Creative Media）的两个专业：Master of Arts in Media Cultures 媒体文化文学硕士，Master of Fine Arts in Creative Media 创意媒体艺术硕士。这两个专业更偏重于新媒体和艺术方面。这里我们重点介绍一下媒体与交流系的两个专业。
